My film reviews are done with the following structure:

Rating System: (relative to age)

- 1: Poor, needs immediate attention

- 2: Needs improvement

- 3: Expected ability

- 4: Better than average

- 5: Exceptional

Key areas:

1. Positioning

- Are you centered with the ball carrier?

- Are your hips square to the ball carrier?

- Are you still before the shot?

2. Footwork/Efficiency

- Is your stepping quick and controlled?

- Are you balanced?

3. Hand Speed and Reaction Time

- Are you guessing, or are you moving when you see the ball?

- Are your hands movements efficient, or are you using excessive movements to make your saves?

- Are your movements quick?

4. Technique and Fundamentals

- Do you move with consistent technique, regardless of shot location?

- Do you control rebounds well?

- Are you flinching?

- Do you keep your hips and chest square to the shooter?

- Are your hands out in front of your body when you make a save?

5. Communication and Leadership

- Are you loud and clear?

- Is your communication useful/helpful?

6. Clearing Game

- Are your passes accurate?

- Are your decisions logical?
